CAREER SUMMARY

Stuart started his career with the Lloyds Banking Group initially working in the Retail branch network (including customer services) in South East England. In 1990 he moved to their Commercial Services team looking after a portfolio of clients from many different industries. In 1992 he moved to the Audit function undertaking audits across London, South East and the Isle of Man. Still within the Group's Audit function he was chosen to work on special projects risk evaluating all the new products and services for the Retail and Commercial network before their release. He also was part of a team developing audit methodology which included supporting technology. In 1995, Stuart was invited to join the International division with responsibility for developing the governance, risk and control framework for their overseas business which numbered at the time over 30 countries. He personally delivered all the training across all continents, as well as providing support to the business for issue management and responsibility for reporting at Group level to the board of directors. In the late nineties he joined a project to evaluate the future Group strategy for wealth management, and ultimately took control of progressing the various initiatives. He then moved to oversee the implementation of all projects across the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man before a Group restructure, taking up a position covering policy and operational risk management. In 2004, he became the Director of Risk and Compliance for International Private Banking based on Geneva Switzerland, and principal regulatory contact with FINMA and the UK FSA. He was also a director of the  Trust and Fund businesses. The role covered all risk disciplines including market risk and credit across the branches in Europe, America’s, Middle East and Asia. Following Stuart's leaving Lloyds in 2012 he focussed on developing his passion for media, basing himself at the world famous Pinewood Studios, in England. Whilst focussing on his own media aspirations he brought his extensive experience to provide advice to media businesses and others as a consultant . In 2016 he was invited to join Nedbank Private Wealth to head up their risk and compliance function becoming a director in 2018 based in the Isle of Man. Following his departure in late 2020 Stuart has returned to his consulting and media activities.
